Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Process Engineer II to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement new technologies and processes to enhance our product capabilities. You will work under supervision using established procedures, collaborate closely with the engineering team, and provide technical support to ensure the successful handoff of new products, processes, and materials.

Essential Functions: 

  • Design, develop, and implement new technologies and processes related to product development and enhancements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend new materials and technologies for factory use.
  • Conduct tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure quality.
  • Analyze product failure data and laboratory test results to develop solutions.
  • Use tools such as CBS, statistical analysis, DOE, and FMEA to validate new processes and equipment.
  • Provide technical and risk assessments on existing and future equipment and processes.
  • Generate technical reports and document procedures and material specifications.
  • Evaluate technical specifications and economic factors related to process or product design objectives.
  • Review new product plans and recommend material selection based on design objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Material, Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical).
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong statistics, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships.
  • Experience with computer databases.
  • Eligibility Requirement: This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Working Conditions:

  • Standard office environment; Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail
  • May need to work with chemicals and oversee chemical processes and tests
  • May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
  • May have special circumstances that require work at night or on holidays; May need to be available by phone after work hours
  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
  • May travel occasionally
  • Standing: 40 *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
  • Sitting: 60 *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
  • Lifting (in pounds): up to 20 pounds
  • Pushing (in pounds): up to 20 pounds
  • Mental/Visual: use of computer, calculator, microscope, camera, databases, software tools, materials test equipment
