The Electronic Warfare & Signal Processing group is looking to hire an experienced Principal Systems Integration and Test Engineer with knowledge and technical expertise in systems integration and test to support the design, development, and deployment of software products containing advanced RF capabilities to address emerging threats. This position requires the ability to drive technical solutions for multi-disciplined technical teams during all phases of capture and development.
This position is full-time on-site in El Segundo, CA in support of Advanced Technologies programs.
What You Will Do
- Work with system and software leads to troubleshoot and solve system/software related problems, coordinating with teams or as an individual contributor to identify, diagnose and correct related issues.
- Participate in the full systems engineering process from planning to integration and test. The focus will be on developing test infrastructure, use case development for software, integrating software in local and remote environments, troubleshooting, and debugging issues, and analysis.
- Develop test plans involving multiple subsystem and system interactions (system of systems) as an Individual Contributor, Technical Lead, or both.
- Selected candidate will be required to obtain and maintain special access program (SAP) clearance and/or an SCI clearance.
- Expected to travel 1-2 weeks each quarter.
What You Will Learn
- Verbal and written communication skills for engagement with program management, technical team members, customers, subcontractors, and industry partners.
- Lead the integration and test pipeline development, maintenance, and continuous improvement, in support of new development.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and eight (8) years of engineering experience OR an advanced degree with six (6) years of engineering experience.
- Experience with requirements analysis or software integration, developing associated documentation for integration and verification (plans, procedures, and reports), and supporting integration and verification execution events.
- Experience working in Linux OS with and/or one or more of the following programming languages: C, C++, Java, Python, and MATLAB.
- Experience with Signal Processing (AMTI), Tracking, Communications, or Resource Management concepts.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation within five years.
- Experience leading and training technical teams of junior to mid-level engineers, interfacing with customers, and the ability to balance test objectives with near/long term program objectives.
- Experience working with different functions to achieve objectives.
- Manual and automated testing techniques including writing new procedures, maintaining legacy test procedures, or developing and running test tool suites.
- Agile and Dev-ops processes.
- Experience with containers and associated tools.

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
