Principal Engineer- Engineering Performance & Process Standardization

Our Technical Operations team is responsible for maintaining some of the best aircraft in the world. Comprising aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment professionals, and supply chain experts, we ensure our fleet is always ready to transport our customers safely and efficiently. The Principal Engineer will support and measure the efficiency of existing tools, processes, and training. When deficiencies are identified, the engineer will work cross-functionally to find and implement solutions. You’ll also assess the impact of processes, tools, and training, balancing cost, asset utilization, quality, and operational efficiency.

• Studies, analyzes and seeks solutions to problems related to the performance of engineering tools, processes, and training.
• Lead groups in structured problem-solving by using lean techniques.
• Develops solutions for sophisticated engineering challenges and leads all aspects of the entire project lifecycle, including justification, cost/benefit analysis, and implementation.
• Act as a subject matter expert, coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and fleet reliability.
• Coordinate work with other operational groups to ensure airworthiness, safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Connect with partners on technical issues, process recommendations, and quality investigations.

Location: This position is at CSC-Willis Tower in Chicago, IL. A hybrid work schedule is available, typically requiring three days in the office, subject to change based on company needs.

The salary for this position ranges from $116,022 to $178,400, depending on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or industrial engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years at a senior engineering or similar role elsewhere in the industry.
• Strong analytical and project management skills, particularly for regulatory compliance projects.
• Outstanding verbal and technical writing abilities.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Consistent and punctual attendance is vital.

• Advanced engineering degree
• Experience in maintenance check engineering on Boeing/Airbus aircraft.
• Proficiency in data analysis and presentation.
• Familiarity with Foundry or similar data analysis tools.
• Solid understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (parts 145, 25, and 121).
