As a Compliance Monitoring Engineer in a Part 145 maintenance team, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all maintenance activities performed on easyJets aircraft comply with regulatory standards, company procedures, and safety policies. This includes monitoring and reviewing the maintenance procedures and documentation to ensure that they are accurate and up-to-date.

You will also be responsible for conducting audits and inspections of maintenance activities to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies. This includes monitoring the quality of work performed by maintenance personnel, identifying any issues, and recommending corrective actions.

In addition to your compliance monitoring duties, you will play a critical role in ensuring that easyJets safety and technical standards are maintained at the highest levels. You will work closely with other members of the maintenance team to identify and implement improvements in maintenance processes, procedures, and documentation to ensure that they are in line with industry-leading safety and technical standards.

You will need to have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

What you need to do the role

The role of Compliance Monitoring Engineer requires a comprehensive set of qualifications and skills. The ideal candidate should have a detailed knowledge of Part 145 and practical application, as well as formal aviation engineering training. You should also have received appropriate training in Human Factors, Fuel Tank Safety, and Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems, and attended an officially recognised Part 145 training course. Previous experience in aircraft maintenance, and prior auditor training to a recognised standard, would be advantageous. The Compliance Monitoring Engineer should have an understanding of staff engineering authorisations processes, knowledge and understanding of Just culture and Safety Management Systems, and safety investigation experience. You should have a flexible and proactive attitude, be motivated and committed to continuous improvement, and have proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and knowledge of the AMOS system would be desirable. Holding a Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance License and having a working knowledge of the Airbus A320 family of aircraft would also be advantageous. The ideal candidate should also be eligible to qualify for and hold security passes, as required, to enable access to airside locations as needed.

Location & Hours of Work

This full-time role will be based in the UK at our Luton or Gatwick base and will be 40 hours per week. Although principally based in the UK, the successful candidate will however have shared responsibility for the continuing compliance monitoring oversight of all easyJet approved maintenance facilities within the UK, Berlin and Milan, as listed in the organisation’s MOEs, so frequent travel to these locations will be required. We support hybrid working and spend three days per week in the office.
