Summary:

    Independently lead efforts to analyze, improve, and resolve manufacturing issues related to production methods, procedures, layout, tooling, and equipment.

    Supports production and post-production environments, focusing on enhancing efficiency and solving complex problems.

    Conduct technical studies, analyze operations, and recommend improvements in manufacturing processes, including complex assemblies and installations.

    Create detailed work instructions to optimize efficiency and ensure zero defects in coordination with the Operations Engineer.

    Develop rework instructions and manage bills of materials (MBOM) in SAP/Solumina/Corridor to ensure proper assembly of engineering-defined parts.

    Generate make-or-buy proposals, evaluate vendors, and assist in problem resolution.

    Perform productibility studies from engineering drawings to ensure manufacturability.

    Apply statistical methods to forecast future manufacturing needs and generate reports.

    Prioritize workloads, provide accurate work estimates, and manage schedules.

    Stay current with manufacturing advancements and integrate Lean Manufacturing methodologies into processes.

    Develop business cases for process improvements and present them to management.

    Act as the ME Group Head in their absence and oversee the work of subordinates.

    Train and supervise team members, ensuring efficient use of resources.

    Lead cross-functional projects and apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to manufacturing methods.

    Support all safety, sustainability, and ergonomic initiatives.

    Ensure compliance with quality policies and recommend improvements.

    Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

    Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

    Minimum 4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, planning, or related technical fields.

    Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles and processes.

    Familiarity with engineering configurations, tooling, quality control, safety standards, blueprint reading, and shop math.

    Proficient in using computerized tools like CADAM, CATIA, Solumina, SAP, and Corridor.

    Experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts such as 5S, JIT, SMED, KanBan, and One-Piece Flow.

    Six Sigma or data-driven decision-making experience is highly desirable.

    Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent experience preferred.

    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

    Ability to prioritize tasks and manage cross-functional projects effectively.
