Position Summary
The Maintenance Engineering Intern will support and at times lead efforts in collecting, verifying, creating and updating the required documentation of the facility’s various assets, this includes any/all building structures and components, any/all equipment and components, any/all production processes and any/all maintenance processes in our current Infor EAM system. The Maintenance Engineering Intern will review all existing asset documentation from the facility’s various storage systems and locations to ensure all information is correct and appropriately upload the information to our current Infor EAM database. The Maintenance Engineering Intern will interface with various plant personnel to acquire any missing data or documentation needed to supplement process and equipment understanding while documenting any written deficiencies.

Job ResponsibilitiesAbility to complete the job following all policies or procedures regarding safety, waste handling, and environmental regulations without direct threat or significant risk to the health, safety or environment.Ability to effectively communicate with management and coworkers.Ability to understand and interpret Engineering CAD Drawings and P/ID’sAbility to collect, organize and understand data collectedAbility to understand abstract concepts and actualize into tangible work processesProvide the Infor EAM Administrator and/or Maintenance Manager with any requested informationField works with maintenance staff to verify accuracy of information Maintain EAM records in the online system and data base collection system Performs field inventory by physically locating, identifying, counting and tagging assetsDevelop an understand Maintenance MRO’s processes and cost saving objectivesRecommend and maintain MRO procedures and other applicable controls used to forecast Maintenance Budgets and cost saving objectivesDevelop training documents and maintain procedures as needed for the department related to Asset Entry.Formally present project overview to Senior Leaders at Intern Closing Session and to local management at the close of the programQualifications
- EDUCATION REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree (In Process, Junior or Senior) in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED
- Microsoft Certified
Must be a US Citizen or have US Permanent Resident Status
