Education & Job Requirements
* You must have
* A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
* A minimum of 5–7 years of experience working with flight control systems.
* Experience performing requirements development, design, analysis, and verification and validation of flight control systems.
* The ability to meet Export Control compliance requirements as a U.S. Person, as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15.
* Regular and predictable attendance. Preferred Qualifications
* You should have
* 5 or more years of related engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Experience with system safety analysis, including failure modes and effects analysis, fault tree analysis, common cause analysis, and single and multiple failure analysis.
* Knowledge of ARP 4754 and ARP 4761.
* Experience with flight control systems and component architecture.
* Experience using requirements management tools such as IBM Rational DOORS.
* Experience developing regulated, certified, safety-critical systems or software. Job Duties & Functions
* You will be able
* Decompose airplane-level requirements into system-level and component-level requirements.
* Gather, define, document, and resolve system-level requirements supporting flight control and mission or trajectory needs.
* Perform and document analysis and design of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems to validate system designs and models.
* Participate in and/or lead system, component, and detail certification activities, including creation of certification artifacts and demonstration of regulatory compliance.
* Conduct system safety analyses and confirm traceability to regulatory requirements.
* Participate in and/or lead system-level and component-level validation analysis and testing, including test monitoring, report authorship, failure analysis, and mitigation.
* Review and approve supplier test reports as required.
* Coordinate across internal and external organizations, including avionics, software, aerodynamics, flight operations, suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies.
* Develop solutions and dispositions for technical issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Work under general direction and support multiple flight control disciplines and projects simultaneously.
