As a Full Stack Software Engineer in the DES department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support GE Aerospaces mission. Roles and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with software developers and the engineering team to maintain current platforms and extend its capabilities for future solutions.
Apply principles of Software Design Life Cycle using Agile& Lean methodologies.
Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
Build features such as Micro Services, Web Applications and Database Queries.
Understand and optimize performance metrics.
Work on the design and implementation of core data structures and algorithms.
Education Qualification
Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Desired Technical Expertise:
Experience in ReactJS or other JavaScript frameworks.
Experience in Java, Python (or other Object-Oriented Programming languages).
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra).
Experience using Distributed Version Control (Git).
Experience using Software Development Methodologies such as Lean/Agile/XP/others.
UI & UX Experience is plus.
General understanding of the impacts of technology choice to the Software Development Life Cycle.
