OnsiteCollins Aerospace, Wilson Facility is looking for a EH&S Generalist to join our team. You will play a key role in ensuring that the organization complies with environmental, health, and safety regulations and maintains a safe working environment.
What You Will Do
Acts as a partner in EH&S by formulating and administering EH&S plans and procedures including EH&S Program Management
Taking proactive steps to ensure the safety and health of site employees and influencing safe behaviors
Monitor, administer, evaluate and coordinate with supervisors & managers to implement company EH&S programs to ensure a safe workplace
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local and company EHS requirements
Auditing and evaluating current policies, procedures, and documentation to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Investigating, analyzing, and interpreting data from injuries and near-misses ensuring corrective actions are completed on time, and all necessary documentation is in place
Work toward building partnerships and influencing across assigned areas to provide actionable improvement programs
Working under the direction of the EH&S manager, support and implement EH&S programs
Collaborate across department to achieve and maintain consistency of EH&S program implementation
Work collaboratively with the maintenance team on various projects
Conduct regular site inspections for compliance with EH&S programs and applicable laws & regulations
Assist in annual EH&S Audits as prescribed by programs
Assist with the Contractor Management Program and be a Contractor Coordinator
Support the site to meet EH&S requirements for upcoming internal & external audits and EH&S program requirements
Conduct monthly walkthroughs to identify and address environmental hazards
Support investigations of environmental incidents, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely submission of incident reports to regulatory agencies
Oversee various multi-media EH&S programs including environmental, sustainability and safety
Prepare and update regulatory documents and reports ensuring all required permits and registrations are current
Provide guidance on hazardous waste management, including storage setup, waste determinations, generator classification, and consolidation practices
Coordinate with third-party vendors for hazardous waste disposal and review invoices for accuracy
Review air pollution control logs, calculate emissions, compare against permit limits, and prepare necessary permit applications and annual reports
Support wastewater discharge compliance, including monitoring discharges, ensuring adherence to permit conditions, and preparing necessary reports
Assist with water quality management efforts, including stormwater plan reviews, site inspections, sampling coordination, and agency reporting
What You Will Learn:
Contribute to the development and implementation of EH&S strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement
Provide training on various EH&S topics
Assist with the implementation of continuous improvement activities and corrective actions
Promote safety culture and EH&S Tasks and initiatives
Recognizing, evaluating, and controlling hazardous workplace conditions
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

Must be willing and able to respond to emergencies after hours as needed on an infrequent basis
Qualifications We Prefer
Knowledge and application of OSHA/EPA regulations and ANSI Standards
Have or obtain DOT and PA DEP certifications to manage hazardous waste locations, perform inspections of SAAs & CAAs and sign manifests for shipments as needed.
Ability to accurately diagnose general and complex EH&S issues, determine appropriate or practical controls, and implement practical and effective solutions in a timely manner
Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple projects and programs in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate effective prioritization and implementation skills
Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications
Must be able to work well independently and within a team environment
Project management and execution skills
Previous experience working in a manufacturing/ machine shop environment
Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
