What are your contributions to the team?
  • Adheres to General Work Requirements.
  • Analyzes requirements and initiates production tool repair requests.
  • Directs Methods Planners in the preparation and revision of manufacturing documents.
  • Assists with validating and approving the compliance of engineering drawings/documents, tool design concept, etc.
  • Analyzes and present production changes by assessing the costs, impacts and risks.
  • Drafts the necessary working and repair documents.
  • Work with manufacturing to develop and implement work arounds due to part shortages, broken/lost tooling, non-conforming parts, etc.
  • Use basic Root Cause Corrective Action tools to solve manufacturing issues.
  • Provide cost reduction initiatives and help with their implementation.
  • Ability to work on the manufacturing shop floor in an IPT/Matrix structured environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings and 3D models.
  • Provide status of non-conformances for a given Workcenter
  • Provide shipside support for manufacturing’s day to day activities.
How to thrive in this role?
  • Typically, a minimum of 3 years of experience in Methods, Material Planning, or related area
  • Manufacturing Assembly background is preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering is preferred.
  • Lean Certification is preferred.
  • Experience in SAP 7 is preferred.
  • Analyzing models using Catia V5 is preferred.
