What are your contributions to the team?
- Adheres to General Work Requirements.
- Analyzes requirements and initiates production tool repair requests.
- Directs Methods Planners in the preparation and revision of manufacturing documents.
- Assists with validating and approving the compliance of engineering drawings/documents, tool design concept, etc.
- Analyzes and present production changes by assessing the costs, impacts and risks.
- Drafts the necessary working and repair documents.
- Work with manufacturing to develop and implement work arounds due to part shortages, broken/lost tooling, non-conforming parts, etc.
- Use basic Root Cause Corrective Action tools to solve manufacturing issues.
- Provide cost reduction initiatives and help with their implementation.
- Ability to work on the manufacturing shop floor in an IPT/Matrix structured environment.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings and 3D models.
- Provide status of non-conformances for a given Workcenter
- Provide shipside support for manufacturing’s day to day activities.
How to thrive in this role?
- Typically, a minimum of 3 years of experience in Methods, Material Planning, or related area
- Manufacturing Assembly background is preferred.
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering is preferred.
- Lean Certification is preferred.
- Experience in SAP 7 is preferred.
- Analyzing models using Catia V5 is preferred.
