Job Description:
Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate interconnecting cables and harnesses based on engineering drawings
  • Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of test bench and lab infrastructure equipment
Security Clearance:
  • Ability to attain a clearance, if needed
Skills Required:
  • Crimp and assemble connector contacts and cable assemblies to aircraft standards
  • Solder to J-STD standards
  • Read and understand aircraft level wiring diagrams
  • Read and understand mechanical drawings and diagrams for metal fabrication and assemblies
  • Familiarity with test equipment, troubleshooting, and repair of wiring
  • Experience with serial data interfaces (ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, RS422, RS232, Ethernet, IEEE-488)
  • Experience installing fiberoptic cabling
  • Safe use of hand tools and shop equipment
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in confined areas
  • Familiarity with ESD and FOD practices
Education:
  • Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
  • High School diploma
Experience:
  • 5+ years of technical experience
  • Military experience in aircraft/systems maintenance and support is a plus
  • Ability to attain a clearance, if needed
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Team player
