Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced MCAD Engineer/Designer with expertise in CATIA (V6 / 3DX) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining MCAD models, 2D drawings, and tooling/fixture definitions for manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Interrogate, analyze, comprehend, and interpret various engineering drawings, models, bills of materials, technical specifications, quality documents, and departmental procedures.
  • Provide MCAD operational models and 2D drawings for manufacturing process planning sequences as required.
  • Offer process liaison support for manufacturing operations when MCAD models with 2D drawings exist as required.
  • Develop, create, and maintain tooling/fixture definitions for manufacturing operations for all media types, including MCAD and manual legacy designs.
  • Execute creation and maintenance of CATIA (V6 / 3DX) programs and operator instructions for Numerical Controlled equipment.
  • Develop, create, and maintain Loft MCAD models, flat patterns, and associated digital tooling programs.
  • Apply knowledge of CATIA (V6 / 3DX) NC Programming, Loft, Engineering, Tool Design, Manufacturing, and Planning processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrate skilled understanding of GD&T/Aerospace tolerances.
  • Support producibility assessments when requested.
  • Maintain records and schedules of work assigned.
  • Meet established company cost control standards, schedule, and quality requirements to maintain spanet competitiveness.
  • Provide technical assistance to procurement and suppliers as determined by management.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers.
  • Apply extensive aircraft manufacturing knowledge and train, direct, instruct, mentor, and check/validate Production Engineering work.
  • Attend training and complete competency-based testing as required by management to remain current with technological advancements.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • Four (4) years of college or eight (8) years of experience in the aircraft industry.
  • Demonstrated capability to adequately perform essential functions and responsibilities related to the application of GD&T/Aerospace tolerances.
Additional Requirements
  • Must have experience with CATIA (V6 / 3DX) and have it visible on the resume.
