Engineering Technician - FLRAA

Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced MCAD Engineer/Designer with expertise in CATIA (V6 / 3DX) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining MCAD models, 2D drawings, and tooling/fixture definitions for manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Interrogate, analyze, comprehend, and interpret various engineering drawings, models, bills of materials, technical specifications, quality documents, and departmental procedures.
Provide MCAD operational models and 2D drawings for manufacturing process planning sequences as required.
Offer process liaison support for manufacturing operations when MCAD models with 2D drawings exist as required.
Develop, create, and maintain tooling/fixture definitions for manufacturing operations for all media types, including MCAD and manual legacy designs.
Execute creation and maintenance of CATIA (V6 / 3DX) programs and operator instructions for Numerical Controlled equipment.
Develop, create, and maintain Loft MCAD models, flat patterns, and associated digital tooling programs.
Apply knowledge of CATIA (V6 / 3DX) NC Programming, Loft, Engineering, Tool Design, Manufacturing, and Planning processes and procedures.
Demonstrate skilled understanding of GD&T/Aerospace tolerances.
Support producibility assessments when requested.
Maintain records and schedules of work assigned.
Meet established company cost control standards, schedule, and quality requirements to maintain spanet competitiveness.
Provide technical assistance to procurement and suppliers as determined by management.
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers.
Apply extensive aircraft manufacturing knowledge and train, direct, instruct, mentor, and check/validate Production Engineering work.
Attend training and complete competency-based testing as required by management to remain current with technological advancements.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Four (4) years of college or eight (8) years of experience in the aircraft industry.
Demonstrated capability to adequately perform essential functions and responsibilities related to the application of GD&T/Aerospace tolerances.

Additional Requirements

Must have experience with CATIA (V6 / 3DX) and have it visible on the resume.
