In this role, youll play a pivotal part in cutting and sewing dress covers for aircraft seats for all non-production components. Will also cut and sew fabric, leather, e-leather/vinyl of various weight and different lamination thickness within specified tolerances for cut and sew process. 1.tEssential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
Main Function Responsibilities
A)tSets up and cuts patterns to close tolerances.
B)tSews fabric, leather, e-leather/vinyl of various weights and lamination thicknesses, operating lock stitch and serger machines.
C)tSets up and adjusts lock stitch and serger machines.
D)tMaintains a high quality of workmanship and assumes responsibility for work performed in assigned duties.
E)tPerforms other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements
A.\tEducation & Qualification
•\tHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
B.\tWork Experience - Technical knowledge:
•\tEmployee must be able to obtain and maintain all required certifications and licenses.
•\tTwo years of sewing experience is required. Commercial sewing a plus.
C.\tProfessional Skills:
•\tMust be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawing, diagrams, tolerance information, work orders, safety guidelines, operating, maintenance and procedure manuals
•\tThorough understanding of shop practices, processes and procedures.
•\tAdvanced ability to sew fabric, leather, faux leathers of various weights and lamination thicknesses.
•\tMust be able to add, subtract, multiple, divide in all units of measure, use whole numbers, fractions, and decimals and apply concepts such as fractions, percentage rations and proportions to practical situations.
•\tBasic computer skills.
•\tMust have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
•\tAbility to read and review written communication.
•\tSpeech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
D.\tBehavioral Skills:
•\tAccept responsibility, Adaptability- Flexible,
•\tComfortable with limited instruction
E.\tDesirable Aspects:
•\tKnowledge of commercial sewing machines, pattern assembly

General Work Conditions
Physical Demands: This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment. Finger dexterity needed in using misc. office equipment such as telephone, computer and copy machine, etc. Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job.
Work environment: The work environment includes office setting with moderate office noise.
