Engineer- Test II
Flordia / Arizona / Alabama / Colorado / Texas / Washington / California / Virginia
Contract Position
Responsibilities:
- Write test plans and test procedures for fluid components, including development, and environmental qualification and acceptance campaigns
- Assist in support equipment design, budgeting, procurement, verification, and integration
- Maintain fluids test equipment configuration control, calibration, and traceability
- Participate in gated design and test readiness reviews
- Maintain and operate pneumatic and cryogenic hardware and/or control software
- Follow safety policies during test planning and operations
- Troubleshoot anomalies real-time
- Reduce, analyze, and archive test data to support verification tasks
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering or related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with pressurized equipment; developing, writing, and executing test procedures for servicing or leak-checking GN2 systems
- Experience reading P&ID schematics/layout designs
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cryogenic and GHe test capabilities, including design, fabrication, installation, and operation.
- Experience with component testing of spaceflight hardware through the development, qualification, and acceptance of test campaigns
- Experience with test facility instrumentation and Data Acquisition and Control Systems
- Familiarity with cleanroom work and its associated best practices
- Proficiency in LabView, Python, MATLAB
