Lockheed Martin Space, FBM Program, is seeking an Electrical Component Engineer Sr. Staff to join our team in Denver, CO.

In this role you will:

• Define and lead Electrical / Electronic / Electromechanical / Electrooptical (EEEE) Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware design, manufacture and test.
• Define and lead in the strategic approach to selection, qualification, test, and failure analysis of EEEE Parts.
Prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports
• Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain organization.
• Work on electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits (ICs), hybrids, crystals, crystal oscillators, filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays, semiconductors, thermistors.
• Travel and work closely with suppliers and government agencies to ensure electronic component selections meet both quality expectations and product performance requirements.
• Work with leadership on technical mentoring plans and development opportunities for junior engineers

Typically has 14 - 20 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors of Science in Engineering or related technical field
• Formal coursework, training, experience and/or knowledge in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts and circuits, semiconductor physics and/or operation of devices such as hybrids, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes and capacitors
• Advanced knowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing, materials and processes used in EEEE parts
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings and/or specifications and providing guidance to design and test teams.
• Experience establishing and implementing technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.)
• Experience or knowledge of failure analysis, destructive physical analysis and/or root cause and corrective action analysis related to EEEE parts

• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
• Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Materials Engineering with emphasis on electrical parts, semiconductor physics or related field of study
• Familiarity with technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.)
• Experience leading and presenting in major program milestone reviews such as PDR and CDR
• Advanced understanding of Nuclear effects on EEEE parts and demonstrated ability to work closely with Survivability Engineers in strategic Rad Hard applications
• Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements
• Advanced understanding of worst-case analysis (WCA) / EEEE parts derating and end of life requirements
• Experience in leading the evaluation of current and developing technologies for EEEE parts in complex design packages
• Extensive experience regarding the full life cycle of integrated circuits (ICs), discrete components, or magnetics (transformers), etc.
• Experienced in working with suppliers of EEEE components.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $118,100 - $226,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
