In order to manage current and future projects, Airbus Helicopters is looking for you to join the team in Marignane as soon as possible as our new Communication Systems Engineer (M/F).

You will join the team that is responsible for the design, development, integration and certification of Communication Systems on all Airbus Helicopters platforms. It covers civil and military radio-communication, intercommunication systems, SATCOM and other connectivity means (datalink, 4G/5G) as well as associated antennas.

Your challenges
As a System Design Responsible you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that cover the full product lifecycle including specification, development, modification, in-service support and research.
These tasks can include:

• Specifying new functions or equipment for future developments

• Specifying and managing projects, development activities, Verification & Validation activities (including laboratory, ground & flight test)

• Supporting design process improvements

• Supporting all related safety & certification activities

• Managing the associated suppliers

• Contributing to in-service support

• Involvement in research activities

You will therefore have a large and rewarding number of interfaces including major multi-national suppliers, other system teams, bench and flight test teams, civil and military helicopters programs, safety, certification, airworthiness, customer support, etc... This requires your ability to work and prioritize flexibly as part of large transnational teams. Your technical rigor, ability to communicate and your good project management capabilities will be a key asset.

Your profile

• An aeronautical/ systems/ avionics engineering degree (Master/Diploma or equivalent)

• First practical experience

• A strong willingness to learn and openness to change, new methodologies & technologies

• Curiosity and appetite for system development

• Excellent communication skills, decision making ability, and a pro-active approach to problem solving

• The ability to speak & work in English is required. German might be an asset.

• The willingness to occasionally travel both nationally & internationally.

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
