Position Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced EMC Engineering Delegate (DAD/DAR) to lead certification activities and make compliance findings under delegated authority.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as DAD/DAR delegate for EMC compliance
- Review, approve, and sign off certification documentation
- Lead compliance demonstration activities and test validations
- Interpret and apply certification regulations (TCCA / FAA / EASA)
- Interface with regulatory authorities and support certification strategy
- Approve engineering changes and ensure continued airworthiness
- Mentor engineering teams on certification requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 8–10+ years of EMC experience in aerospace
- Must hold or be eligible for DAD/DAR delegation (Transport Canada)
- Strong experience in certification programs (Part 25 / CAR 525)
Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of EMC/EMI, transmission lines, signal integrity
- Deep understanding of DO-160, SAE ARPs, regulatory frameworks
- Proven ability to make compliance findings independently
- Strong communication with regulators and cross-functional teams
