Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 1,800 people in the UK. BDUK is responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK defence customers including many training services. Course designers within Boeing provide a vital service in our drive and determination to provide mission critical solutions to the Defence and Security sector. As a member of the E-7 Training Team in the Atlantic Building at RAF Lossiemouth, you will perform a spearheading role in the successful implementation, and through-life maintenance, of a project, of critical importance to our Company, Defence and the security of our customers. The role:
Reporting to the E-7 Training Delivery Manager, the E-7 Aircrew Course Design Specialist is responsible for the analysis, design, delivery and assurance of course material, specifically:
The design and maintenance of Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) aligned aircrew training courseware and training material for the UK E-7 fleet as directed by the Authority including:
Aircrew training (E-7 Mission Crew and Pilots) including theory and practical elements of Operational Conversion Unit (OCU) (classroom, synthetic and aircraft on ground events) to Limited Combat Ready (LCR) standard.
4th Target Audience training including familiarisation training
Other training, as directed by the Authority.
Analysing the design, development, implementation and evaluation of training projects and curricula and assisting in the evaluation of new strategies, methods, technologies and tools related to course design, development and delivery.
Preferred background and experience:
Experience of the production of UK military training with a specific background in course design and delivery of aircrew training
Experience on any UK Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and/or Command and Control (C2) platform.
A Sound knowledge of course design methods and techniques and experience in the design and development of instructor-led courseware
Experience of operating within the direction and guidance set out in the Ministry of Defence (MOD) Joint Service Publication (JSP) 822.
This role is permanently based at our facility at RAF Lossiemouth. Remote/virtual working is not available for this position.
