PDS Tech is looking for a Drafting and Design Engineer in Simpsonville, SC.

Job Title: Drafting & Design Engineer
Job Type: Full time; Consultant (6 months )
Location: Simpsonville, SC 29681
Schedule: Monday to Friday; 7-5pm (30 minute unpaid lunch) flexible start/end times 8hrs/day
Pay Rate: $31.17 per hour

Job Summary

Drafting Technician performs superior electronic outputs including plans, layouts, CAD models, drawings, manufacturing fixtures, and supports release activities for associated design artifacts. Completes major cable layout drawings prepared by others while following internal and industry design practices. Assists in preliminary concept reviews that require CAD models, engineering design prototypes and subsequent conversion to production components.

Basic Qualifications:

HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. OR In the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 4 years of relevant experience is required.
Due to federal regulations, U.S. Citizenship is required
Knowledge in Mechanical Hardware design fundamentals
Experience with and general understanding of design methodologies
Intermediate experience in SolidWorks and SEPDM
Ability to construct mechanical designs using CAD tools with full PMI.
Knowledge of GD&T application principals with certification preferred.

Pay Details: $31.17 per hour
