Position Summary
Seeking a Design Engineering Co-op to work with product and project engineers in the Product Engineering department of the Tube Fittings Division (TFD) of Parker Hannifin Corporation. TFD designs, manufactures, and spanets high pressure hydraulic fittings for the industrial spanet. The fittings are used for connecting different components in the hydraulic system via rigid metal tubes or flexible hoses.
Responsibilities
Work with the engineers in designing new products• Make new or modify existing product drawings using Inventor (training provided)• Help with ordering & testing prototype parts• Analyze test results and help refine the design• Write test reports• Help create other engineering documents and maintain engineering database• Make special product drawings to customer specifications• Work closely with sales and spaneting personnel to provide premier customer service• Participate in project status reports at the product meetings• Help with other misc. engineering tasks
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an Industrial or Mechanical Engineering ProgramGPA of 3.0 or higherStrong work ethic demonstrated through past experiencesExcellent communication/presentation skillsGood organizational and numerical skillsPersonal computer skills including MS Office, E-mail, and the InternetMust be a U.S. Citizen
