We specialize in offering tailored aircraft modifications and repairs across a wide range of disciplines, including Structural, Electrical, Avionics, ECS, Cabin Safety, including Flight Conditions/Permit to Fly.
Position Overview:
As part of the growth process DOA21 Limited is looking to recruit a Design Engineer to join the team of engineers to support in the compilation of engineering design data and compliance reports in support of the ongoing changes / repairs on aircraft. The position is full time from the Malta office.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Design, the Design Engineer shall be responsible for,
Produce Design Specifications and Classification.
Generating Structural &/or Avionics & Electrical &/or Cabin Safety related ACAD Drawings & Accomplishment Instructions.
Generating Flight and Ground Test Plans & Reports.
Compiling Compliance reports
Carry out the required Design Safety Assessments.
Carrying out pre-design surveys and during embodiment of the Design Change carry out First Article Inspection.
Generating approved Data (Instructions for Continued Airworthiness) such as SB’s, AFM supplements etc.
Assist Head of Design with Project Management & Quotations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Must possess a minimum of a Higher Technical Diploma or equivalent.
Sufficient knowledge to compile the design aspects that they are involved in
Must have basic knowledge of Part 21, including AMC and GM,
Must be able to interpret the Certification Specifications being working to, and when in doubt seek advice.
Be self-motivated and can work with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Relevant experience in aviation airworthiness, (maintenance and Continued Airworthiness Management) is considered a benefit.
