Description:Lockheed Martin in Uniondale, NY is seeking a full-time early career cybersecurity engineer.
In this role you have the responsibility of learning about the Trident program and working with the Trident cybersecurity team developing and implementing cybersecurity solutions. The successful candidate should have one or more of the required skills:
- Academic or Professional experience with cybersecurity (defending computers, servers, mobile devices, electronic systems, networks, and data from malicious attacks)
- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
Engineering degree in one of the following disciplines Software, Computer, and Cybersecurity from an accredited college.
Academic or professional experience with cybersecurity concepts and principles (security auditing, cyber-hardening)
Academic or professional experience with Linux and Windows system administration (installation, configuration, and updates)
Academic or professional experience developing scripts (python, powershell, bash or similar)
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is
located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
Academic or professional experience with developing software in C, C++, and/or Java
Academic or professional experience with cryptographically hashing system audit tools
Academic or professional experience with PKI-based authentication implementations
Academic or professional experience with vulnerability assessments
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
The base range for this position in New York is $83,125.70 - $139,108.97.
