Description:What Were Doing
As a Cyber Software Engineer Staff on the F-35 T&L Program team, youll be at the forefront of developing and maintaining the advanced software systems that power the F-35 aircraft. Your work will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including system testing, requirements analysis, verification and validation, collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams, risk management, and continuous improvement.

The Work

In this role you will perform:
1. System Testing: Collaborate with systems/software engineers and other stakeholders to assist with the coordination, preparation, witnessing/support, and post-testing collection and adjudication of results. Conduct static code analysis of security assessment/testing results and assisting with peer reviews.
2. Requirements Analysis: Support working session for the inspection of source code by external customers in order to complete software assurance analysis of mission critical functions and Critical Program Information / Anti-Tamper (CPI/AT) to be implemented on Training Systems devices.
3. Documentation: Develop Security Assessment Evaluation Reports (SAERs) and review Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) to document all security-relevant information regarding the vulnerabilities, risks and threats identified during security analysis, assessments, testing, and evaluation. This will include security design, risk analysis, or issues. utilizing a grading scale to categorize and profile the software flaws related to software assurance and that capture the impact of vulnerabilities to the software.
4. Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, systems architects, and project managers, to achieve project milestones and deliverables in a timely manner. Provide support, monitor, and escort of penetration test teams.
5. Risk Management: Facilitate/support working sessions and assist in formulating responses to the Application Secure Development (ASD) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) items.
6. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, software development methodologies, and industry best practices, and apply them to enhance the capabilities and effectiveness of F-35 software systems.
7. Compliance: Adhere to company policies, procedures, and industry standards, including cybersecurity protocols and regulatory requirements.

Please note:
-This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
-This position will involve around 25 travel to our customer sites.

As a Software Engineer Staff on the F-35 Program team, youre a highly skilled and motivated professional with a passion for aerospace and defense technology. You have a proven track record of success in software development, with expertise in programming languages such as C/C++, Python or Powershell. Youre familiar with aerospace and defense industry standards and regulations, and you possess strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.

A level 4 employee is typically senior-career and has 7 to 9+ years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent field
- Minimum of 7+years of relevant development experience
- Proficiency in C, C++, & Python, or Powershell

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
