The role: CAMO Engineer
Part of the Safety, Security and CAMO department of British Airways responsible for world class risk management
This is a role that will call upon your impressive leadership, collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills.
What you’ll do:
You will be responsible for oversight of the design and development of Aircraft Maintenance Programmes for the British Airways fleet of aircraft as defined under the British Airways AOC. The role also has responsibility ensuring the safe, compliant and reliable operation of the British Airways fleet of aircraft. You will use your knowledge of regulation, BA requirements and expertise to monitor compliance and safety standards effectiveness. You will conduct incident investigations, analyse data, documentations reviews and assess safety risks and mitigations.
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
As a CAMO Engineer you play a key role as a member of a small team focused on ensuring required standards are met and safety risks effectively mitigated through oversight of BA Engineering and our contracted suppliers. Interfacing and influencing decisions at all levels across the business, working together to ensure high standards and promoting continuous improvement.
Your experience:
Your qualifications will include an education to Level 4 (e.g. HNC, HND, FD) or educational equivalent. Ideally you will have technical knowledge of aircraft mechanical, avionic and powerplant systems, with experience of working in a Part-M/Part-CAMO and Part-145 capacity.
