BR&T is looking for a high performing, collaborative Boeing AvionX Integration and Test Engineer to perform integration and testing at the Mountain View, CA facility.  

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including senior or subject matter expert engineers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the support effort for the Integration and test activities within a complex multi-unit system with network-based communication links for Ethernet, ARINC825 (Can Bus), ARINC429, and RS485 protocols.

  • Support System Integration within a diverse set of input traffic types such as serial, digital, and discrete interfaces

  • Interface with next level platform teams in support of System Integration and test with multi-subsystems

  • Lead communication and coordination activities associated with Hardware and Software teams to solve issues found during platform Integration and test

  • Support all Engineering and Program briefings on-site with Platform teams

  • Support execution of Test Cases and Test procedures to demonstrate compliance to requirements for both integration and formal test in preparation for flight testing.

  • Support related troubleshooting, root cause/corrective action investigation, and problem resolution.

Note: Some domestic travel will be required to support offsite test activities

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Experience with computer networking and network protocols

  • 9&43; years of experience with ARINC 429 data bus protocol

  • 9&43; years of experience with Network Protocols (i.e., CCSDS, CAN, 1553)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 15&43; years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 10&43; years of experience with commercial communication standards such as 1553, RS422, RS485, IRIG, and/or Ethernet

  • 10&43; years of experience with system integration and applying engineering principles so that the systems can be effectively integrated

  • 10&43; years of experience with Electrical Engineering, Test & Evaluation, and/or development/use of Special Test Equipment

  • 10&43; years of experience developing test scripts using Python and/or C&43;&43;

  • 10&43; years of experience performing environmental testing (Thermal Cycling and Vibration) Experience with networking protocols with, UDP, TCP/IP, Broadcast, Multicast, Unicast message traffic types

  • Experience with both Windows OS and Linux OS

  • Experience working in an independent environment with assigned tasks and drive to completion

Typical Education/Experience: 
Senior (Level 4):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD&43;4 years related work experience, Master&43;7 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Subject Matter Expert (Level 5):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD&43;9 years related work experience, Master&43;12 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range for Senior level: $128,350 – $173,650

Summary pay range for Subject Matter Expert level: $157,250 – $212,750
