Boeing Brazil is seeking an Associate Structural Engineer with knowledge of stress analysis methods, engineering principles and coordination skills, reporting to the Mechanical and Structural Engineering Manager, working out of the São José dos Campos office.

The Associate Structural Engineer will join the Boeing Global Services and/or Boeing Commercial Aircraft Structures team and will develop and provide support for the primary and secondary structure of the 7-Series Boeing Fleet.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.

  • Support product design and verify structural integrity of parts and components by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to ensure safety, quality and performance of the product.

  • Participate on customers and other stakeholders’ communication to understand and support structural solutions.

  • Support on root causes investigation to help the team on providing timely responses to the fleet events.

  • Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.

  • Works under general direction.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil

  • Must have a degree in Engineering

  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language

  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA). Applicable to Brazilian, recent engineering graduates within 6 months and foreign engineers when the employer is willing visa sponsor

  • Relevant experience with Structures Engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • Relevant experience with structural analysis methods and tools (Hand-Calculation and Finite Element Analysis Method)

  • Relevant experience with propulsion structures (pylon, nacelle, wing attachment, APU and others).

Relocation:

-Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
