This position entails the design and maintenance of our BI infrastructure, the creation of scalable data pipelines, and the development of reporting solutions used by stakeholders across production/support departments and plant leadership. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable writing SQL queries, communicating findings to a non-technical audience, and thrives in an environment where they have ownership of our full analytics stack.
- Own and maintain BI reporting infrastructure, ensuring data sources are reliable, well-documented, and accessible to stakeholders across the organization
- Build and optimize ETL pipelines that consolidate data from multiple source systems into clean, analysis-ready datasets
- Develop dashboards and reports that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for business and operational teams
- Partner with finance, operations, and other functional areas to understand reporting needs and deliver scalable analytics solutions
- Establish and enforce data governance standards including consistent definitions, naming conventions, and documentation practices
- Automate manual reporting and data preparation workflows to improve efficiency across the analytics function
- Train and enable non-technical stakeholders to use self-service reporting tools effectively
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to maintain database infrastructure and support data platform initiatives
- Supply formatted, validated data to technical and process teams in support of quality management and continuous improvement efforts
Identify opportunities to improve business processes through data analysis and proactive insight generation
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Data & Analytics, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution
- 2+ years of experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools including DAX and data modeling
- 2+ years of experience working with relational database systems (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar) including core principles of database management best practices
- 2+ years of experience working in SQL, Power Query M, DAX, and/or Python
- Demonstrated ability to own a BI platform or analytics function end-to-end with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with AS/400 (IBM iSeries) systems or querying data from AS/400-connected environments
- Background in a manufacturing or industrial environment with familiarity in reading and interpreting shop floor data
- Experience building ETL pipelines and data validation logic across multiple business units
- Knowledge of Data Modeling, Data Streaming Principles, and Data Visualization best practices
- Experience automating reporting workflows and building self-service BI solutions for non-technical stakeholders
- Programming knowledge in Microsoft .NET (VB, C++, SQL) environment
- Knowledge of UNIX, LINUX, or VMS operating systems
- Working knowledge of programming and interface techniques with manufacturing shop floor control systems (e.g., PLCs and HMIs)
- Project management experience
- Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in Finance, Safety, Supply Chain, Production, etc.)
