Are you ready to invest in your career with a quickly growing airline? Silver Airways currently provides more routes within Florida and the Bahamas than any other airline and we need your help to keep up to our safety standards as we expand into the Caribbean. As a Fleet Engineer, you have the following responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Provides technical assistance to operational departments and repair providers to support aircraft operations, engine repairs and/or maintenance.
  • Reviews aircraft reliability data and implements corrective actions via engineering modification and/or repair documents in support of achieving aircraft technical dispatch reliability (TDR) goals.
  • Develops and issues engineering orders to accomplish major and minor repairs, modifications and alterations to engines, Powerplant, components and accessories.
  • Manage and issue changes made to company maintenance procedures specified in the manufacturers&39; manuals by Engineering Technical Notice ETN&39;s.
  • Manage and issue company special maintenance actions by Fleet Campaign Directives.
  • Develop engineering procedures, standards and process specifications to comply with Airworthiness Directives and other regulatory requirements.
  • Identify new technologies that will improve the operational performance and reliability of aircraft, engines and components.
  • Review Service Bulletins, Service Letters, and other service documents to determine applicability.
  • Perform cost benefit analysis to determine effectiveness of proposed modifications.
  • Coordinate engineering functions with regulatory agencies as required for approval for major repairs and alterations. 

 

 

EDUCATION and/or CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred
  • 2 years + Technical Operations in aviation
  • High School Diploma/Equivalent

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Maintenance Programs/MRB; CASS
  • Maintenance and Material Planning
  • Analytics and application to aircraft maintenance programs 
  • General business knowledge
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project required
  • Technical Knowledge of Aircraft Systems for current fleet types ATR 72/42
  • Strong communication skills, both internally with the company, and externally with the FAA

OTHER:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol Screen, FBI fingerprint screening, 10-year criminal background check education
