Position Summary
This role will be responsible for aerospace technical support reporting into the Equipment and Engine Attachment Systems team. In this role the candidate is responsible for daily customer technical inquiries regarding mount selection, recommendation and system integration using sound engineering judgement/tools. Working with the larger team this role will also aid in identifying potential business opportunities, evaluating their merit, and working to potentially establish custom product solutions. This role may also be responsible for the design, analysis and testing of new and variant type designs following our new product introduction process.
Responsibilities
- Complete understanding and application of technical principles and theories
- Understanding of our broad aerospace product lines and their application
- Responsible for the evaluation of customer inquires for merit and application utilizing vibration theory and analysis
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management and negotiation skills
- Ability to translate customer requirements into viable technical and commercial solutions
- An understanding of the global aerospace spanet
- Ability to travel up to 10
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.
- 0-2 years of experience in a related field
- Fundamental knowledge of engineering principles, concepts, and techniques
- Ability to work with general direction and instruction regarding the scope of assignments; determines the priority and order of assignments; and applies judgment in selecting procedures and techniques.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
