Job: Rig Technician - Systems Test Engineer - Simulation

Join our Systems Test Team and play a crucial role in the verification and validation of next-generation aircraft systems. We&8217;re looking for an experienced and motivated Staff Systems Test Engineer to lead the development and commissioning of our test assets.

Position: Rig Technician

As a Rig Technician, you will be the focal point for configuring, setting up, and troubleshooting test rigs. You will assist testers in making all necessary preparations for conducting tests, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Leadership: Lead the design architecture of integrated system test assets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive a cross-functional team to develop test asset specifications and test plans.
  • Development and Commissioning: Lead the development of test assets from conceptual design to final commissioning.
  • Documentation: Write test specifications, assembly documents, operation manuals, and test procedures.
  • Technical Design: Develop wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.
  • Integration: Select and integrate transducers and data acquisition devices into test setups.
  • Automation: Develop test scripts in Labview and Python, automate test execution, data collection, and post-processing to increase test cadence, ease operation, and enhance safety.
  • Supplier Coordination: Source and coordinate with external suppliers and labs.
  • Hands-On Assembly: Support procurement and hands-on assembly of test fixtures.
  • Certification Path: Define the certification and conformity path for integrated test assets.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues during testing.
  • Maintenance: Maintain test stations, manage configurations, keep calibration logs, and upgrade hardware and software as needed.
  • Safety: Ensure and improve safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field.
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with aircraft verification programs, including tests for certification credit.
  • Hands-on experience in assembling test fixtures and executing tests.
  • Proficiency in system-level testing.
  • Knowledge of aircraft system architectures, avionics, and/or high voltage power distribution.
  • Proven experience managing complex test programs and leading multi-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with aerospace processes and standards (e.g., DO-160, DO-178, ARP4754A).
  • Experience with National Instrument (NI) tools and hardware (Veristand, Labview, PXI).
  • Familiarity with Linux.
  • Coding experience (C++, Python, Labview).
  • CAD modeling experience (NX preferred).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.

  • Week 2: Wed-Sun, 3:30 PM - 12:30 AM
  • Week 3: Wed-Sun, 3:30 PM - 12:30 AM
  • Week 4: Wed & Thu, 3:30 PM - 12:30 AM, and Sat & Sun, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Team 2:

  • Week 1: Mon & Tue, 3:30 PM - 12:30 AM, and Fri-Sun, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Week 2: Mon & Tue, 3:30 PM - 12:30 AM, and Sat & Sun, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Week3 : Mon & Tue 3:30pm-12:30am And Fri-sun 7:00am-4:00pm
  • Week 4: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun 3:30p,-12:30am
