Airbus Helicopters is looking for a
Mission System Design Responsible (d/f/m)The Operator Solutions department manages end to end all activities related to customization (electrical and mechanical integration) according to Airbus Helicopters customer needs for current and Future helicopters assembled in Donauwörth. The operator solutions department is in front of its customers to define the best mission architecture and system to serve their operations.
The department is responsible for the complete customization chain from concepts, architecture, design, supplier/solution selection, cost estimation, planning and offer contribution, in-house developments, certification, production support up to customer support.
Your location
At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Launching and assessing suppliers offers for mission systems (Hardware and Software) with other stakeholders
Proactively controlling and monitoring suppliers during the development phase, with the aim of safeguarding technical requirements
Lead-time optimized and cost-efficient execution of development and design tasks for customerspecific avionics, as well as the electrical and mechanical integration
Gathering and sharing knowledge of Mission Management Systems/Tactical Datalink System market solutions (current and future)
Technically supporting production lines, product centers, program management and the end customer
Ensuring the necessary documentation for timely approvals and deliveries
Advising the customer on the technical content of customer-specific equipment
Technically advising program management on operational and partially strategic decisions
Supporting the purchasing department in the selection of suppliers and product policy
Conducting trainings for pilots and technical personnel as well as customers
Desired skills and qualifications
Completed studies (Bachelor/diploma/master) in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering or comparable
At least 5 years of relevant experience
A specialization in communication technology/electronics or comparable would be beneficial
Comprehensive experience in the design, development, engineering and/or integration of mission management systems for aircraft
Experience in the field of communication technology
Experience in supplier management
A basic knowledge of helicopter avionics is desirable
High level of motivation, ability to work in a structured manner as part of a team and to independently complete assigned tasks
You are customer-oriented
Openness for new and creative solutions
You are confident when interacting with internal and external customers
Language : Your are fluent in English and have good German skills
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
