Job Description:

Central Flying Service has an opportunity for a Senior Avionics Installer. Benefits include immediate PTO accrual, employer-paid benefits, and competitive pay. This position will be responsible for working alone or as a team member in performing installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a large variety of general aviation aircraft.

Responsible for the following:

  • Perform assigned tasks on avionics, electrical systems, airframe, interior, pitot static systems, and associated components, in accordance with current FAA regulations, and appropriate technical manuals
  • Report any un-airworthy condition to the Chief Inspector and the appropriate Director of Avionics.
  • Report any unsafe practices to the appropriate Director of Avionics and the Chief Inspector.
  • Follow and do not deviate from any written instructions such as Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Service Instructions, Kit Installation Instructions, Supplemental Type Certificates, etc. without the approval of the Chief Inspector.
  • Getting an Inspector to sign off his work.
Job Requirements:
  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent and Basic Electronics Training
  • Preferred: Avionics or Aircraft Electronics Training
  • Preferred: Associate degree in Avionics/Electronics

Licensing/Registration/Certification

  • Required: Driver’s License

Experience

  • Required: 5 years of avionics installation in general aviation aircraft.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to the customers or employees of the organization

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts and to apply concepts of basic math and algebra

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
