Job Description
As an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for performing avionics installation, troubleshooting, and modification for general aircraft and light corporate jets. You will work on weather radar, RVSM inspections, autopilot systems, GPS/navigation/communications systems, transponders, and altimeter certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform avionics installation and modifications for general aircraft and light corporate jets.
- Troubleshoot and repair avionics systems including weather radar, autopilot, GPS/navigation/communications, transponders, and altimeter certification.
- Conduct RVSM inspections.
- Work with wire harnesses, schematic diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform crimping and soldering tasks.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and standards.
Essential Skills- Experience in avionics installation and modification.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting avionics systems.
- Familiarity with general aviation and light corporate aviation.
- Ability to read and interpret wire harnesses, schematic diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
- Valid drivers license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Must have Avionics Installation and Modification experience
- Must have experience with GA/ Light Corporate Aviation
- Must have valid drivers licenses
- A&P, AET, Former FCC is a plus
Work Environment
Our facility is an FAA approved 14 CFR Part 145 Certified Repair Station holding FAA Radio Class 1, 2, and 3 ratings, Instrument Class 3 rating, along with Limited Instrument, Airframe, Engine, and Accessories ratings. You will be working in a very clean, temperature-controlled facility with a beautiful hangar. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
