Job Title: Avionics Installer I
Job Description
This is a contract position for an Avionics Installer I, where you will be responsible for assisting in the removal and installation of avionics electrical components, fabricating wire harnesses, and performing functional tests of avionics/electrical systems under moderate supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist in installations, modifications, and the fabrication of wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings.
- Complete tasks within the allotted time frame.
- Maintain required logs and records.
- Comply with the company’s Foreign Object Debris (FOD) program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
- Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- General knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
- Ability to use a multimeter.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and general software knowledge.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Six months of accredited schooling in aviation electronics or general electrical experience is preferred.
- Technical Certificate in aircraft electrical assembly preferred.
- Successful completion in the current year youth apprenticeship program in the area of expertise is preferred.
- Familiarity with small gauge wire, automotive, radio, or fiber cable.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.66 - $25.66/hr.
