Avionics Electronics Technician

Job Description:

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting and repairing aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic equipment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify, and service aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic equipment.

Documentation: Perform and document work per applicable manuals and regulations.

Ground Support Equipment: Operate ground support equipment as required.

Removals and Installations: Assist with mechanical/electrical removals and installations.

Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with maintenance at off-site locations and other maintenance disciplines.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

Avionics/electric A/C Technical School or substantiated equivalent

Typically 3 years of avionics work experience or substantiated equivalent experience

Technical Skills:

Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings

Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form

Tools and Equipment:

Own basic set of hand tools with ability to demonstrate inventory and control

Must obtain Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required

Certifications:

A Certification, P Certification, or A & P Certificate (if required)

GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License) or AET (Aircraft Electronics Technician) Certificate

Other Requirements:

Ability to work unscheduled overtime, including non-scheduled work days and holidays

Ability to work in seasonal/inclement weather outside

Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge (if applicable)

Basic PC skills

Experience on corporate jet aircraft/commercial aircraft preferred.
