Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Weight Operations Technical Analysts to support initiatives within our Weight Operations Team in Seattle and Renton WA.

The chosen candidates will need to rotate among the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts in both Seattle and Renton, WA.

The ideal candidate will have aircraft weight and balance experience.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate and Mid-Level Engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops complex inventory equipment lists, conducts inventories, weighs aircraft, determines center of gravity of aircraft and documents results

  • Prepares Chapter 2 of the Weight and Balance Manual

  • Balances flight control surfaces

  • Calculates/adjusts weight requirements to balance flight control surfaces following repair and/or repaint

  • Develops flight load planning and directs airplane loading of variable load elements

  • Inspects aircraft to calculate effects of actual weight and location of variable load elements on airplane gross weight and center of gravity and prepares flight manifests for pilots signatures and flight release

  • Weighs and documents actual weights and centers of gravity of components and assemblies

  • Resolves complex issues with equipment, components and weighing systems

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Seattle and Renton, WA.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 2&43; years of experience with Microsoft Office products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • Experience with aircraft weight and center of gravity estimation, calculation, verification, and statistical analysis

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience 

  • Associate’s degree or higher

Typical Education / Experience:

  • Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years related work experience, etc.).

  • Mid-Level (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor&43;1 years related work experience, 5 years related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

  • Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Work Shift: 

  • This position is for rotating shift (to include 1st, 2nd & 3rd)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range for Associate (Level 2): $56,100 - $75,900

Summary Pay Range for Mid-Level (Level 3): $65,450 - $88,550
