The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing.

SUMMARY 

The Total Rewards Specialist will provide a high level of support to the Human Resource team by working closely with HR team-mates to support employees in a knowledgeable, timely, resourceful, and professional manner. This position carries out responsibilities in the following areas: compensation and benefits, HRIS, compliance, and policy development and maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with the HR team to conduct compensation analyses, inclusive of recommendations for new hires, internal promotions, counteroffers, and job evaluations while reinforcing the Programs overall compensation philosophy.
  • Participates in compensation surveys, assists with external market analysis and internal equity evaluations.
  • Partner in compensation projects and special reports. -Actively contribute to developing new reports, job descriptions, spreadsheets, and databases related to HR and Total Rewards.
  • Reviews company compensation and benefits policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and contractual requirements.
  • Research day-to-day inquiries and responds to employee benefits questions from employees, partners with other HR team members for reporting requests, and runs required reports.
  • Maintain Leave of Absence and medical personnel files to ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.
  • Maintain the WASS HR relocation program.
  • Administer various employee health benefit programs such as medical, dental, and vision for both CONUS and OCONUS employees.
  • Serves as contact point for interpretation of benefits and compensation policies and practices.
  • Administer various employee leave programs such as FMLA, Personal Leave, Workmans Compensation, Long Term and Short Term Disabilities and rotation cycles.
  • Administer discretionary benefit plans such as Legal, EAP and Flexible & Health Spending Accounts.
  • Administer the WASS Education Assistance Program.
  • Administer the WASS Employee Referral Program.
  • Provide guidance for and administration of 401K savings plan.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Benefits to administer audits as requested.
  • Ensure accuracy and tracking for requested salary changes through the approval process.
  • Responsible for communicating and processing employee benefits during orientation, annual open enrollment, and qualifying events.
  • Maintain WASS Job Descriptions and ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Assists in the development, coordination, administration, and support of the Total Rewards Program.
  • Manage Defense Base Act (DBA) Workers Compensation program, to include but not limited to internal/external notification of injury claims; completion of LS202 DOL; completion of APRISE injury reporting; collaboration with DBA vendor and assigned company representative; facilitation of required documentation and employee file maintenance.
  • Collaborate with DBA vendor to arrange employee travel and follow-up on allowed reimbursement and update DBA Access database.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.LI-HD1

 

Job Requirements:

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE 

Required 

  • Associate degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • -Minimum of five - 5 years experience in the Human Resources Total Rewards environment. 
  • Prior experience working with Human Resource Information Systems HRIS. 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. 
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments with little supervision and ability to work well under pressure. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. 
  • Strong knowledge of principles of Affirmative Action Equal Employment opportunity, HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, Sarbanes Oxley, ADA and FLSA. 
  • Position requires a U.S. Department of State Moderate Risk Public Trust MRPT. 

Preferred

  • Bachelors degree -Previous HR experience on other international contracts. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. 
  • Prior experience with Compensation Market Research Platforms. 
  • Workday experience -Bilingual Spanish-English, Level 2 Spanish
