Position Summary

As the Software Quality Assurance Analyst and Tester, you will be leading the Software Product Test team for the Analysis, Debrief and Test (ADT) branch. You will be testing software for an advanced synthetic training environment. This software is integrated into flight simulators to support pilot training against potential threats. You will support software development, software integration, testing, customer training and demonstrations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Install and run regression tests on a new JTB product test builds.

  • Test a variety of Jira issues from new feature implementation to bug fixes to database queries.

  • Document test results discovered issues in Jira.

  • Track test progress throughout the agile development process and report status to the JTB Integration Lead and JTB Project Manager.

  • Collaborate with JTB software developers and subject matter experts during test and training sessions.

  • Create new test procedures documents to validate new requirements.

  • Communicate within a large team to verify correct procedures and software issue diagnosis.

  • Run extensive regression tests when software reaches Release Candidate (RC) phrase.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience with scripting, database

  • Experience and/or training in a high-level programming language such as C++ and MATLAB.

  • Leading a software testing team using Agile & Waterfall Development Methodologies.
  • Experience with testing/developing software products.

Education

  • BS/BA degree in Engineering Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Operations Research, Data Analytics, or Engineering.

Experience

  • Minimum 4-year experience

Preferred Qualification

  • Experience with scripting, database, and programming languages in Python 3, and HTML.

  • Prior experience supporting Model and Simulation efforts.

  • Prior experience supporting automated testing.

  • Prior DOD experience is preferred.

Other Requirements:

Clearance

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
