Boeing Global Engagement and Training is looking for a Senior Flight Operations Support Specialist - Regulatory Affairs to join our team in Seattle, WA. This role will provide support in creation and submission of regulatory required documentation, Review for compliance and applicability to our approved training courses to support out training operation. Provide liaison with the Regulatory Operations team and serve as a consultant to management and other industry professionals.
This will be a lead position that would perform oversight role in training compliance and Training Certificate management, or function as a leader in our developing Regulatory Operations team developing and implementing support packages to our air carrier customers.
Position Responsibilities:
Assists in development and application of company safety initiatives, strategies that are used in support of continuous accident reduction
Leads the development, reviews, validation, and standardization of flight-related materials, training bulletins and procedures, course ware and training compliance
Leads coordination with others regarding changes affecting flight operations and safety
Supports activities related to airplane certification
Participate in training planning conferences to proactively address regulatory issues before training begins
Knowledgeable on Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) requirements for Flight Crew Training
Provides oversight at training campuses and supports campus staff to ensure Standardization of Flight Training regulations and resolution of related questions
Review Training Curriculum and Courseware to ensure compliance
Recognized as knowledgeable in the elements of flight operations regulatory requirements for the applicable CAA
Meets with regulatory agencies and Civil Aviation Authority Officials and participates in rulemaking activities FOR ATO RELATED REGULATORY ISSUES. Negotiates with regulatory agencies FOR ATO RELATED REGULATORY ISSUES
Coordinates ongoing pending document changes, policies, and procedures with regulatory agencies FOR ATO RELATED REGULATORY ISSUES
Participate in Curriculum Review Board to ensure standardized approach to recommended changes in training curriculum
Interacts with Learning Design as a Subject Matter Expert in the applicable regulatory requirements
May assist Boeing Customers with flight operational regulatory questions
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Transport Category Aircraft Type Rating
ICAO Airline Transport Pilot license
Senior level Flight Operations management experience with an Air Carrier or Regulator, for example, Director of Training, Chief Pilot, Training manager, or Principal Operations Inspector or Training Inspector
Experience with complex system gap analysis and developing solutions to correct identified operational discrepancies
Experience with Safety Management System integration and organizational design
Experience working collaboratively with external companies and/or organizations in certification and/or safety matters
Experience with Flight Operations Program design, certification, and implementation, for example, ETOPS, Low Visibility, RNP-AR, PBN, PBCS, etc.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD&43;9 years related work experience, Master&43;12 years related work experience, 18 years related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $142,800 – $193,200
