The main purpose of the Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist is to teach, coach and drive continuous improvement through partnership with all and various functions across Lancaster Mill Products and by eliminating all types of waste and application of Arconic Business System.
The incumbent will take a proactive role in promoting and practicing Arconic Business System concepts and philosophies within his/her span of control and responsibility.
Proactively assist and participate in identifying all types of waste by advocating, coaching, practicing and leading the implementation of various Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement techniques.
Assist in collecting data and preparing and developing improvement projects at the Plant and department/area levels.
Coach and work together with organization leaders in sustaining and utilizing the ABS and other continuous improvement systems.
Proactively assist in leading and maintaining central ABS systems.
Assist in sharing learnings between the areas within the plant, and transferring knowledge from other sites within and outside of the BU.
Develop own personal ABS and other improvement skills and actively participate in teaching and coaching the rest of the plant in continuous improvement training programs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5 years exposure to manufacturing, manufacturing support or engineering environment

Six-Sigma Certification (Green or Black belt)
Working understanding of statistical analysis
Proficient in machine reliability (Reliability Principles)
Working knowledge of Rolling Mill Equipment (or Heavy Industrial Equipment)
