Position Summary

The Senior Analyst Schedule Planning works as part of the Schedule Planning Team responsible for the build-out of the airline’s schedules. The Senior Analyst ensures that all schedules align to meet the company’s operating metrics.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Maintains JetBlue’s cadenced schedule process
  • Generates schedule proposals to all Operating departments to ensure final monthly schedules align with operating constraints, cost targets, fleet plan, staffing plans and meets the company’s operating metrics
  • Work closely with the Route Planning team reviewing schedule patterns and adjusting schedules to align with anticipated passenger demand and profit and loss (P&L) performance in new and existing markets
  • Coordinates functions of the Scheduling Team with the functions of other departments internal and external to the Planning Department to ensure that the needs and accomplishments of the department embrace the vision of the Company
  • Fosters team growth and the ability of the team to focus their attention on achieving overall goals of the Scheduling Team
  • Creates ad-hoc schedule scenarios to support Commercial and Operational projects and analysis
  • Other duties may include supporting other commercial teams with ad-hoc planning requests and producing daily/weekly/monthly reports
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Aviation related field or Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or Computer Studies; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
  • Three (3) years of analytical experience
  • Candidates must demonstrate analysis, interpretation, and communication skills in a work sample assessment
  • Work with all operating departments to help them fully understand the schedule and put it to action
  • Able to effectively handle numerous schedules and scheduling issues at the same time
  • Strong written and verbal communication ability
  • Available for overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

 

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of airline experience
  • Two (2) years of airline planning and/or scheduling experience
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Past experience with Sabre AirVision suite, ability to work well with all levels of leadership
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Understanding of airline operations and planning as it relates to the development of the schedule

 

     Crewmember Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

      Compensation:

  • The base pay range for this position is between $64,000.00 and $103,100.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
