This position holds responsibility for metrology customer service and scheduling.

Selected applicant will: work closely with appropriate internal/external organizations; identify, track, and monitor items processing through the laboratory to ensure calibration services are completed on time and meet customer requirements; schedule/coordinate services to be performed in the laboratory and in-place.

Perform duties of refit coordinator for the Calibration Exchange Pool. Additionally, applicant selected will provide liaison directly with ship’s force personnel to coordinate SSBN/SSGN TMDE inventories in accordance with allowance lists. Order servicing documents for scheduled and emergent service requirements.
The ideal applicant will be able to solve problems rapidly and will have excellent communication skills for dealing with a wide array of customers. Selected applicant will communicate requirements and information with internal customers needed to successfully complete metrology services. Applicant must be self-motivated, organized, have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, have demonstrated leadership and have both collaborative and independent work process exposure. This position requires the ability to adapt to quickly changing tasks and requirements and the ability to quickly learn new skills while on the job.

Basic Qualifications:
• Must be able to schedule with ships force and metrology personnel to accomplish a task at a designated location.

• Demonstrated experience providing direct customer service.

• Must be able to work in Marine Industrial and manufacturing environments with the ability to climb stairs and ladders, etc.

• Must obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

• United States citizenship required, cannot possess dual citizenship.
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience with a related master’s degree.

• Good communication skills (written, verbal, listening, presentation, technical writing).

• Effective interpersonal skills to function successfully in a team environment.

• Experience at tracking simultaneous projects/tasks to closure.

• Applicant should be a proven self-starter and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions.

• Experience with MS Office; Excel, Word, PowerPoint and data base experience.

• Prior experience in the Navy metrology program, particularly in a Submarine environment, working with TMDE used in the Trident Submarine fleet.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
