Salary Range $115,000 - $125,000 (DOE)

Position Summary

Under general direction, the Integrated Master Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and reviewing project master schedules. This position will work with project teams and managers to establish a master schedule, maintain the schedule baseline, review and document schedule status and variances, and update the status of the schedule. This position will review and recommend for approval the baseline schedule, as well as any revisions to those schedules, and provide time impact analysis for change orders. The Master Project Scheduler will utilize strong presentation skills to communicate various stages of projects to senior managers.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with project managers and technical experts to set up assignments, tasks, and sub-tasks.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective scheduling management system.
  • Maintain and provide variance analysis and work with project teams to gather schedule requirements, dependencies, and activities.
  • Coordinate project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor project timelines and deadlines and conduct critical path analysis.
  • Identify potential project schedule delays and facilitate intervention in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate performance and prepare project progress reports.
  • Obtain regular status updates from project team members to ensure scheduled items are completed on time or are dispositioned as required and accommodate updates and changes to project schedules.
  • Recommend actions to keep projects within budget and completed on time.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to internal/external stakeholders and maintain regular communications of project timelines and deadlines.
  • Document project scheduling processes and maintain records.
  • In-depth knowledge of the scope of projects within the industry.
  • Advanced ability to evaluate project progress and facilitate interventions.
  • Ability to keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Program Management or 10+ years of experience with IMS on government contracts, experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Manufacturing scheduling experience is required.
  • Experience in aviation, commercial, or military industries.
  • Advanced proficiency in project scheduling using Microsoft Project.
  • The ability to build a waterfall schedule with finish-to-start logic for an aviation build plan.
  • Proficiency with Barbecana Monte Carlo software to conduct analysis on effects to schedule.
  • Ability to manage multiple roles and projects and to see the big picture.
  • Occasional travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. may be required.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.

Desired Experience/Skills

  • Preferred aircraft maintenance experience.
  • PMI Certification as a scheduling professional (PMI-SP) is advantageous; ISO/9000/AS9100 or Lean Six Sigma training is preferred.

Work Authorization

  • Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.

  • Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.
  • Specific work hours are determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements.
  • Occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime work may be required.
