As our Pilot Selection Support Specialist, you will oversee the support function of the Flight Operations Pilot Selection Specialist (PSS) team in the hiring activity of pilot selection. This will be achieved by supporting the selection process for the recruitment of high-calibre Flight Crew to meet the operational needs of the organisation.   Working with the PSS, HR Recruitment and Emirates Flight Training, the role holder will have continuous oversight of the pilot application process, ensuring a smooth collaborative approach across the various stakeholders.



In this role, you will:  



  • Collaborate and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders. Liaise with Flight Operations, Pilot Selection and HR Recruitment teams to drive improvements and efficiencies for timely pilot hiring activities, and the induction of newly appointed pilots.

  • Ensure the scheduling and administrative functions of the PSS team align with the HR recruitment team and that appropriate expertise is always available for pilot selection duties and activities. Ensure PSS office coverage and leave management.

  • Facilitate the review and short-list pilot candidates as list provided by the PSS team, and through application of aviation knowledge, and experience against scoring matrices and recruitment guidelines.

  • Provide support to Flight Training and the PSS team with the selection of simulator scheduling activities in Dubai and overseas as required.  Ensure quality of candidate experience when visiting Dubai for selection.

  • Provide insights using data to management (business & across HR) such as offers declined, salary   comparisons, highlighting challenges and recommending solutions to attract candidates.

  • Establish and maintain continued database oversight related to candidate’s vs course performance metrics to better facilitate targeted recruitment.

  • Aid in sourcing & shortlisting candidates, both expatriates and UAE nationals, by utilising available databases & technology, i.e. (LinkedIn, ATS systems, local & global schools/universities etc.). Ensure continuous promotion of the Emiratisation agenda by actively sourcing potential UAE nationals who may be suitable.  

  • Proactively communicate within specified time frame with internal and external candidates to maintain professional image and a quality candidate experience. Ensure PSS technical communication with applicant pilots is achieved in an accurate and timely manner. Ensure the Emirates brand image and high standards for candidates are reflected by processes where support is provided.

  • Assist the Pilot Selection Manager and SVP-F on assigned projects, designing presentations on selling pilot recruitment services as required, build, and generate reports on the team’s recruitment activities as needed.

  • Maintain and oversee the quality of the communication with candidate pilots ensuring timely responses and accurate information.

Job Requirements:

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:



  • Degree or Honours and 5+ years' experience in Human Resources, Flight Operations, Administration, Recruitment/Selection

  • Experience working with various selection processes (Digital assessments, video interviewing, telephone interviewing, reference checks)

  • Ability to organise selection and skills assessments (In tray activities, work samples, presentation topics)

  • Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Content Management Systems (CMS) systems
