We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic and good team-player to join Air Canada’s Pension Department in downtown Montreal (hybrid mode) in a full-time permanent position.  The successful candidate will report to the Director, Pensions.

Air Canada currently sponsors various Defined Benefits (DB), Hybrid and Defined Contributions (DC) pension plans for its employees in Canada. Other employees worldwide participate in DC or DB plans, government plans or other various pension arrangements. 

Responsibilities:

  • Daily administration of all Air Canada (AC) pension plans
  • Day to day contact with service providers and other AC departments to resolve complex individual cases and help answer employee pension questions
  • Review different data monitors to ensure adequacy and provide appropriate resolution
  • Monitor employee and employer contributions
  • Review pension adjustments and , from time to time, individual calculations prepared by the service providers (DB plans)
  • Complete government filings
  • Help improve efficiency of recurring tasks
  • Prepare and coordinate mailing/distribution of pension communications
  • Provide support to colleagues of the Pension Department
  • Other special projects

Qualifications

  • University degree in Actuarial Science, Administration, Finance or related field
  • Minimum of one to two years of experience as a pension plan analyst or administrator 
  • Minimum of twelve months of experience at Air Canada (an asset)
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel
  • Strong mathematical skills, ability to analyse, well-organized, meticulous and autonomous
  • Complete bilingual proficiency in French and English (oral and written) 

Conditions of Employment:

  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest, at the time any offer of employment is made and seeking any required work permits/visas or other authorizations which may be required is the sole responsibility of the candidates applying for this position.
