Job Description:
This Marketing Strategy Consultant is responsible for initiating, assisting in developing, and driving strategic plans to address business needs and improve performance of their assigned functional area (Customer Development, Local Strategy, Traffic, Southwest Business, Southwest Vacations, Loyalty Promotions). This role will assist and/or co-lead the efforts, from concept to completion, of Marketing initiatives relevant to their functional area by leveraging multiple inputs (including various customer data models, customer dashboards, customer profiles and shared insights, traffic and revenue analysis, demand generation reporting, sale and offer optimization, brand monitoring, customer intelligence) and help drive the vision for their teams strategies.

Responsibilities
Assist in developing and presenting strategic business and marketing direction for their assigned functional areas such as pricing policies, sale plans, media plans, and advertising messaging, etc. to drive performance improvements
Facilitate and co-lead cross-functional and cross-departmental coordination to support and/or deliver functional area and other marketing strategic initiatives, align routine activities, and drive joint solutions
Assist analyzing operational performance, business process, customer insights, and/or future needs to build strategies that clarify key challenges, assist to diagnose root cause, and recognize performance improvement opportunities
Serve as a resource to assist employees and other departments in understanding marketing strategies, driving functional area initiatives, and designing methodology for project/initiative delivery
Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts to establish a comprehensive understanding while distinguishing user/customer requests from the underlying true needs
Assist cross-functional Commercial and Marketing teams to deliver strategic projects and tactical plans on time, within budget, and within agreed upon scope
Collaborate well with others, build relationships with business owners, take consultative approaches as appropriate, drive forward, and follow through against established timelines
Serve as the marketing representative and enable two-way flow of information between Marketing and cross functional teams within the Commercial organization
Work with leader to align on priorities, constructively address project work, and build personal development plans
May perform other job duties as directed by Employees Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of marketing campaign development and go to market strategy
Basic knowledge of 360-degree marketing planning
knowledge of marketing business metrics (i.e., conversion rate, engagement rate, etc.)
Skilled in developing marketing briefs
Skilled in creating and presenting business cases and performance reporting
Skilled in problem solving and creating actionable insights from data
Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other functional groups and departments
Ability to communicate effectively by listening intently, questioning appropriately, and articulating clearly in both written and verbal formats
Ability to deliver quality work within a low-cost environment
Experience
Required: Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:

Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Pay & Benefits
Competitive market salary from $95,750 - $106,400 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
