The Lead Production Quality Specialist reports to the GE Lafayette Plant Leader and works in a self-directed teaming structure. This role is responsible for quality assurance and quality control in the LEAP Assembly operation at Lafayette.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Utilize FLIGHT DECK tools to drive quality improvements
- Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control. Includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes. Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.
- Advocate for and lead proactive quality improvement projects (focused on predictive quality);
- Responsible for interfacing with customers;
- Drive and support successful internal and external audits;
- Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others;
- Support and coach self-directed teams to achieve program/business objectives;
- Serve as subject matter expert for site wide decision making process in councils;
- Ensure operational alignment with site quality KPIs;
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in quality + 3 years of manufacturing experience
