As an Investment Performance Analyst in our Lockheed Martin Investment Management Company (LMIMCO) Accounting group, you will play a crucial role in our daily and monthly performance reporting and Private Equity cash flow reconciliation processes. You will also assist in overseeing the generation of monthly books & records for our multi-asset class portfolio. This is an onsite role based in Bethesda Maryland, with every Friday being a remote day.

What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you will be a key player in assisting LMIMCO’s Investment Accounting Group with new product launches, coordinating the setup of new accounts, and managing communications with auditors, custodians, fund administrators, prime brokers, and other third parties. Your contributions will be essential to the smooth and successful execution of these processes.

Responsibilities for the Investment Performance Analyst role include: :
• Monitoring and supporting the investment performance process
• Conducting weekly and monthly performance attribution analysis
• Reconciling Private Equity and Real Estate cash flows and market values on a monthly basis
• Overseeing custodians for the monthly books and records process, including cash flows and valuations received by fund managers
• Interacting with custodial banks, fund administrators, internal investment managers/traders, and brokers as necessary to research or investigate discrepancies between reporting systems
• Processing capital calls as directed and handling foreign currency transactions for capital calls and distributions if needed
• Maintaining the Private I database and conducting monthly audits to ensure cash flow accuracy
• Validating PE/RE cash flow and valuation data on the LP Analyst platform
• Monitoring private equity cash account balances and processing stock distributions
• Assisting in the preparation of private equity asset class performance analysis presentations for senior management
• Ensuring SOX compliance for LMCs Camp+ Process and managing and interacting directly with third-party auditors for various compliance requests
• Participating in investment accounting projects as required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 7 years or more of related professional experience.
• Solid understanding of investment performance and analytics
• Working knowledge of institutional investing in various asset classes including, private equity, equity, fixed-income, commodities, hedge funds, real estate, etc. and familiarity with derivatives.
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Ability to maintain professional relationship with internal/external personnel
• Attention to detail and ability to work on many different competing projects/prioritize.
Desired Skills:
• Technology systems experience and familiarity with VBA, SQL, MATLAB, FactSet, Bloomberg, Imagine, and Barra
• Rich working experience of performance analysis
• Experience with trade order management and/or portfolio management systems for Listed and OTC Derivatives
• Ambitious, self-starter with an attention to detail
• Effective time management and communication skills with the ability to organize a workload with competing priorities
• Demonstrated persistence to see projects through completion and the ability to work independently and in a team environment

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
