This position provides HR support to the Reno Service Center – Maintenance, Repair, Operations (MRO) employee population. This role fosters engagement, helps triage questions to the appropriate support resources, ensures smooth daily office operations and leads the recruitment and staffing of positions for the Reno facility. The ideal candidate will bring innovative ideas and solutions to this dual role while managing critical day to day office operations while also handling essential HR functions. HR Responsibilities also include deploying HR programs and policies (e.g., pay, performance management, leaves, etc.) and addressing employee relations issues. This position reports to the Director HR – MRO Americas.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

· Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with

department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Coordinates logistics with

HR team members as needed

· Lead recruiting efforts and attend local, out of state career fairs, college visits and military bases.

· Lead the onboarding process from preemployment through New Hire orientation, which includes completion of

I9 and applicable forms.

· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs including but not

limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; corrective action; disputes and investigations; performance and

talent management, recognition, culture; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

· Act as first point of contact for all employee related issues including but not limited to: injuries, leaves of

absence, harassment, payroll, investigations and disciplinary actions escalating to Corporate HR when the

need arises.

· Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or

sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

· Participates in employee corrective action meetings, termination out processing, and conducts exit interviews

· Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best

practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

· Drug Employment Representative (DER) for FAA Drug & Alcohol Program for Reno Service Center as well as

coordinating the preemployment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion drug testing.

· Maintain employee files and process HR transactions in UKG.

· Lead employee engagement initiatives, such as organizing and planning company events.

· Performs other duties as assigned within HR/office management/accounting.

Administrative Duties: ·

· Maintain facility access and alarm system.

· Establish, maintain, and revise files or forms, correspondence, departmental and company reports, and employee records.

· Safe-guard customer, employee and company proprietary/personal information is kept confidential at all times.

· Authorized Signatory for TSA compliant Reno-Tahoe Airport SIDA and AOA Badge.

· Oversee expense report processing review for accuracy; submit to applicable managers for approval and employee reimbursement.

Accounting Responsibilities:

· Teterboro accounts receivable contact for all duplicate invoices requested by customers; forward as required.

· Track capital asset purchases for proper recording by Controller.

· Disburse, balance and recap petty cash weekly for month end reporting to Controller.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· SPHR Certification

· Experience in aerospace/aviation industry

· Experience with FAA DOT Drug Program.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· 5 + years experience in HR Business Partner or Generalist role.

· Bachelors degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience.

· Full Lifecycle recruiting experience from sourcing to on-boarding.

· Experience with a variety of different HR disciplines such as employee relations, compensation, HR data

analytics, leave of absence, workers compensation, drug and alcohol program, and Diversity & Inclusion

initiatives.

· Experience with HRIS system utilization and administration (e.g., UKG) and report creation.

· Demonstrated project management, organizational and planning skills.

· Proven experience in designing and implementing effective employee engagement initiatives, with a track

record of improving workforce satisfaction and retention.

· Proficient MS Office skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook

· Ability to work independently.

· Demonstrated flexibility and responsiveness to changing priorities

· Ability to exercise sound judgment in the handling of confidential material and information.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Ability to work in a high dynamic and fast paced work environment

· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface effectively with all levels of employees within the

organization.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

· Onsite, Office environment.
