Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is hiring for an Executive Assistant to support the Vice President and Leader of the St. Louis site in Berkeley, MO!

This position is a development assignment, and the successful candidate will be expected to remain and grow in this position for approximately 18-24 months. This is a rewarding, yet challenging leadership role that will directly support the Vice President and St. Louis site Leader. In this role, you will leverage your strengths by assisting the team in leading the organization and charting the course for a major BDS organization. 
 

You will be a consultant and assistant to the St. Louis site Vice President, Leader; helping to drive organizational strategy, battle rhythm, special project leadership, and One Boeing integration with stakeholders across Boeing. The Executive Assistant often represents the interests of the site Leader, thus requiring general BDS / Aerospace & Defense Industry product knowledge and demonstrated abilities to interface and collaborate with all levels.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Anticipate the needs of the VP for scheduled events, presentations, discussions, and recurring processes; research, prepare, socialize, and review materials as appropriate for the event
  • The role will lead and integrate program leadership team operations deliverables to include: Operating Rhythm, Org Optimization/Metrics, Metrics/KPI’s, Lean/productivity & optimization, Investment Integration, and Integrated Planning and Scheduling
  • This role will integrate and align program efforts with the Air Dominance leadership efforts
  • Identifies key stakeholder project-specific objectives and requirements
  • Ability to effectively navigate complexity and ambiguity
  • Strong people skills, and a high level of discretion in handling confidential information
  • Professionalism in dealing with senior leaders, persuasive written and verbal communication skills, and strong attention to detail
  • The ability to analyze and summarize data for executive consumption, multitask effectively, and use sound judgment to execute complex tasks with minimal guidance is required
  • Experience developing executive-level presentations and facilitating leadership meetings
  • Ability to network and collaborate across multiple organizations
  • Knowledge of BDS business
  • Knowledge and understanding of Boeing’s Diversity and Inclusion goals and plans
  • Advocate and emulate SS&L

Additional Responsibilities may include:

  • Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry.
  • Leads studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), reports, risk assessments and planning efforts to determine impacts, constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives.
  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case.
  • Develops and establishes lead time requirements.
  • Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry.
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
  • Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with Senior Level/Executive Level Management
  • 3+ years of experience writing communications for senior executives and other leaders
  • 3+ years of experience in a role that required organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, facilitate, and coordinate multiple projects
  • Active Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience organizing, facilitating, and executing large meetings or events with executive and senior customer stakeholders
  • 3+ years of experience developing and executing operating rhythms, integrated program schedules, project plans, and/or metrics
  • 3+ years of experience with program management, project management, and/or business operations
  • Demonstrated leadership ability in formal or informal roles within the Boeing Company or in outside activities

Travel:

The position may require traveling up to 25 of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as spanet and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $107,950 – 146,050 USD
